It would look great on a table for serving butter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was made by George Unite and it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1840. The hallmarks are on the back of the blade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe knife has a lovely design to the Sterling Silver curved blade and a beautifully elegant Mother of Pearl handle. It has a gothic B on the handle and ESJC elaborately engraved at the top of the blade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has a kink in the middle of the blade which can be seen in the photos but wouldn’t affect its use. The silver is shiny and the Mother of Pearl handle is smooth and shows all the beauty that Pearl has.
