It’s a lovely rare antique, perfect for storing small items such as a couple of pills, rings or keeping powder or cream in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe glass base is clear and is dodecagon shaped with 12 sides, and a flat base with a pretty design to it. The Sterling Silver lid lifts off the jar. The shiny lid has lines around the side and the inside features the maker’s mark and hallmarks. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was made by Archibald Douglas and it was hallmarked in London in 1826.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s in good condition, particularly bearing in mind its age. The silver is shiny with tarnish around the sides to show the lined design. There are a couple of tiny dents to the lid and a couple of small chips to the glass rim, which have been taken into account when pricing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe silver lid weighs 15g. The jar has a diameter of 4cm (1 1\/2 inches).
