In the centre of the lid it has Cricklewood, Long Jump (over 14), 1921. Cricklewood is an area of London and it would’ve been given as a prize for an athletics competition which all adds to the charm and history of the box.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt stands on four elegant legs. The lid lifts to show a blue\/purple velvet interior and a gilded inner lid.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe Silver is shiny with some tarnish, particularly on the legs which helps to show the beautiful detailing. The hinge works well but has a very slight split to the Silver where it attaches to the box. It is secure and wouldn’t affect its use. The lid shuts but doesn’t sit completely flush with the base.
