Thomas Prime was a Silversmith based in Northwood St, Birmingham active from 1864 to 1887.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit knife has a Sterling Silver blade featuring the hallmarks and maker’s mark on one side. It has a pretty  Mother of Pearl handle has a lovely etched design featuring flowers and a dotted pattern. On one side it has AG elaborately engraved although the initials are quite worn. The blade folds back into the handle with the tip protruding.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Silver blade is shiny with a number of kinks to the blade, a few nicks and a slightly bent tip. The blade goes slightly upward rather than level with the handle but this doesn't affect it's use. The Mother of Pearl is beautifully smooth with a small chip to the Pearl near the blade.
