It has the initials MIL elaborately engraved in the centre of the lid. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hinge and clasp work well. Inside is a gilded interior with the Hallmarks on the inside of both the lid and base.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was made by S Blanckensee and Son Ltd and is Hallmarked for Birmingham 1924.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's a lovely case with lots of character. There are quite a few dints to the lid and base, particularly around the edges and corners. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe inside has quite a few marks to it which all adds to the history of it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt weighs 66.5g.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt measures 6.2cm by 8.3cm (2 3\/8 inches by 3 1\/4 inches).
