Here we have a beautiful and very special Antique Sterling Silver Ladle from 1800. You can just imagine it being used 200 years ago in the Georgian era to serve sauces. It would be perfect to use for serving cream or sauces at the dinner table.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

It was made by George Smith II and his son in law Thomas Hayter. It was Hallmarked in London in 1800. The Hallmarks are on the back of the handle.

The medium sized bowl has an oval shape and a tapered handle. It has a beautifully elaborate G engraved at the top of the handle. The Silver is shiny with a little tarnish.

The bowl has a slight dint but this is only noticeable when you run a finger over it. The handle has a slight bend to it.

It weighs 40g and measures 17.6cm in length (6 7/8 inches).
