Antique Chinese Magnifying Glass

Here we have a lovely Antique Chinese Magnifying Glass, perfect for examining items closely. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

The magnifying glass is held by a beautifully ornate copper based design featuring scrolls and a green jade stone on one side. The copper has been gilded which has worn in places to leave a very pretty two tone colour to the metal. The handle is most likely white jade.

The magnifying glass works well. It has some scratches to it and a very tiny chip at the edge which can be seen in the photos. The glue is a little visible where the glass is attached and also where it has spilt slightly onto the metal frame.

It is very pretty and would be a great gift.

It measures 14.6cm in length (5 3/4 inches).
