This is a very pretty Antique solid Sterling Silver Pin Tray or Bowl, perfect for keeping small items in or for serving sweets or nuts.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

The bowl is made of shiny Sterling Silver. It has a beautifully designed oval shape with the hallmarks and maker’s mark inside. It was made by James Dixon and Sons and it was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1910.

It was originally for sale at Depree and Young, retailers of high quality goods who were based in Exeter and active until 1934. It has their name imprinted on the base, along with Z1205x41/2, which all adds to the lovely history of it.

It’s in good condition. There’s a little patina in the edges which helps to show the design and a couple of tiny dents to the base of the bowl. The silver is shiny with a few scratches.

It’s a small tray, weighing 34g. It measures 11.5cm by 8.4cm (4 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inches). The depth is approximately 1.3cm (1/2 inch).
