This is a beautiful antique solid Sterling Silver folding fruit knife from the early 1800s. It’s a lovely, unique knife with a faux tortoiseshell handle and would be perfect for cutting and peeling fruit.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present for a birthday or anniversary.

It has a lovely shiny Sterling Silver blade and a pretty faux tortoiseshell handle. It was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1819 and it has the hallmarks on one side of the blade. There are no maker's marks.

It’s in very good condition. The silver is shiny with some scratches. The handle is beautifully smooth with a bit of scuffing up near the collar. The blade is sprung and snaps neatly back into the handle.

It measures 10.2cm (4 inches) when the blade is fully open and 5.6cm (2 1/2 inches) when the blade is folded into the handle.
