Here we have a beautiful boxed set of a Vintage Sterling Silver egg cup and spoon from the 1930s. It’d be a very special present for a new baby, Christening, Baptism or Birthday.

It was made by Henry Hobson and Sons. The egg cup was hallmarked in London in 1937, and the spoon was hallmarked in Sheffield 1936.  

The egg cup is made of Sterling Silver and sits on a pedestal base. It has shiny smooth plain silver sides, perfect for engraving initials or a name. It has a beautifully elegant shape with a curved rim at the top.

The spoon has a lovely elegant shape and a pretty shell design at the end of the handle.

The set comes in its original presentation box from Page, Keen and Page Ltd of Plymouth, who were renowned jewellers and silversmiths.

The box is in good condition with the odd scuff on the lid. The egg cup has a few very small dents and one slightly large one. The spoon is in excellent condition.

The egg cup and spoon together weigh 26.1g. The egg cup measures 6.7cm in height (2 5/8 inches). The spoon is coffee spoon sized and measures 10.4cm in length (4 inches).
